Hi, I am John and I would like to share my story with you

In 2015, I lost my beloved wife in a tragic accident. I coped with one of the few tools available to me at the time: alcohol. Suddenly, I had the incredible responsibility of raising two children alone.

With a baby bottle in one hand and a whiskey bottle in the other, I could only ask, “Why did this happen to me?” 

At the time, I was a firefighter and relied heavily on my chosen family at the fire station. I was incredibly grateful to have a career I loved. It served as a way to funnel my pain and anger. I fought fires as if they were my own demons.

A year after my wife passed, I sustained a career-ending injury. In a minute, my career as a firefighter smoldered into ash. Everything I loved was gone, and alcoholism had taken its place.

Again, I asked, “Why did this happen to me?” 

In my desperation, I sought out a medium. I desired to be a good father to my children, a good companion for my own heart, and to trust and love again. I needed answers. I was skeptical, but I met the medium and discovered a whole new world. I learned that there are answers to life’s questions. Wisdom, peace, and understanding were on the other side of the veil---just beyond my conscious mind.

On that day, my perspective was changed forever. I knew that I had found a path to healing which included true, sustainable, long-term healing. A new journey began. My traumas guided me back to my true self, soul, values, strength, power, wisdom, and sobriety. I found my love and passion for helping others suffering from their own stories and tragedies.

Shamanic Energetic Medicine

John walked a Shamanic medicine wheel with Stephen Feely, Pampamesayok Shaman School. Feely belongs to a lineage of teaching originating from the Shamans of Peru. These teachings are based on the foundational teachings of Alberto Villodo’s school, The Four Winds.
